"The instructor is very knowledgeable and has a wonderful style of teaching with a gentle and warm nature about her. Her home studio is a beautiful space to practice in, with all of the proper equipment available to modify your asana and includes a very cool wall with multi-level hooks for belts that add variety to the practice. The class is geared towards preparing for labor and birth. With each class, she sets a theme, last week we focused on stretching the sides, mobilizing the shoulder blades, releasing the rib cage, ultimately improving comfort in breathing. The class is gentle and well balanced, starting with some meditation and breathing exercises and easing into some beautiful asanas or poses." - Amanda C.

"I started pre-natal class with Art of Yoga during my 5th month and they were very helpful during my pregnancy and delivery. The meditation helped relax my mind and release my tensions. I couldn’t keep up with them at home, but they sure made me sleep happily after class each Sunday. I used to run short of breath and had leg cramps at night. The class incorporated poses to address those, some I practiced at home and it helped a LOT. The Baddhakonasana saved my back during the last trimester! "I started my yogic journey with Art of Yoga at 29 weeks of pregnancy. I was in class with women in all three trimesters and Shruti had modifications and levels for all of us. Yoga has been the best way to start my day, especially in weather like here :). I had sciatica pain and I always lingered and avoided walking but with stretches and asana I don’t feel the pain and has really helped relieving the pressure from my lower back. Everybody says yoga calms you down and I have come to believe and live it in my own experience now. It has definitely slowed me down and pulled me closer to myself. Labor was a great experience, though it sure tested my determination. We wanted a normal delivery so we tried all the things that would lead us towards it. I like it that the instructor offers a lot of variations for each asana, props and adjustments so I can make the most of my practise.
